Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Vitoo mobile application (the "App"). In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to The Vitoo. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by law in your country) to use the App.

2. Your Account

To use the App you must create an account with a valid email and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password, PIN, and recovery key confidential, and for all activity under your account.

3. Your Content

You own your content. The photos and videos you place into your vault remain yours.

To provide optional encrypted cloud backup and Family Share routing, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit the encrypted versions of your content on your behalf. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You represent that you have the right to store and share the content you upload, and that it does not violate any law or any third party's rights.

4. Family Share

Family Share lets you share specific media items with another user of the App. You are responsible for verifying the recipient's email and delivering the Share Code only to people you trust. You can revoke any share you have sent at any time.

5. In-App Purchases

One-time purchases. No subscription. No auto-renewal. Every in-app purchase is a consumable credit pack that adds storage and features to your wallet. You are charged once per purchase. There is no recurring billing.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple under the App Store's standard terms. We receive a receipt from Apple (through our payment processor) so we can credit your wallet.

Credits added to your wallet have no monetary value outside the App and cannot be exchanged for cash. Refund requests should be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Because all purchases are consumable, the App does not include a "Restore Purchases" button — Apple's StoreKit does not support restoring consumable transactions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

Accounts that violate these rules may be suspended or terminated.

7. Encryption & Recovery Key

The App encrypts your content on your device using keys we do not hold. This is what makes your content private.

If you lose both your PIN and your recovery key, your encrypted content will be permanently inaccessible. We cannot reset your PIN remotely. We cannot decrypt your data for you. Please save your recovery key in a safe place.

8. Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account at any time from inside the App: Dashboard → Delete Account. Deletion removes your encrypted content, Family Shares you sent, purchase records, security data, and finally your authentication account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the App available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. The App may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, technical issues, or events outside our control.

10. Disclaimers & Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App is limited.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
