This Privacy Policy explains what information The Vitoo (the "App") collects when you use it, how that information is used, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to The Vitoo. You can contact us any time at info@vitoobox.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the App:
- Email address — used as your sign-in identifier.
- Account identifier (UID) — an internal ID used to associate your encrypted content and purchases with your account.
- Encrypted content — when you enable optional cloud backup, the already-encrypted versions of your photos and videos are uploaded. Plaintext never leaves your device.
- Purchase information — Apple receipt data (received through our payment processor) so we can credit your wallet. We do not receive your payment card details.
- Family Share data — if you use Family Share, we store the encrypted payload and the recipient email you entered, used solely to route the share.
2. How We Use Information
The information above is used to:
- Create and operate your account.
- Store and sync your encrypted content when cloud backup is enabled.
- Process and verify in-app purchases.
- Deliver Family Share invitations and related notifications.
- Protect the security of the App (for example, rate-limiting failed PIN attempts).
We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following service providers to operate. Each provides protections at least equivalent to those described in this policy:

We do not sell your information and do not share it for advertising.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and encrypted content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, this information is removed.
5. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from inside the App: Dashboard → Delete Account. You will be asked to re-enter your password.
Deletion removes all of the following:
- All encrypted content you uploaded to the cloud.
- All Family Shares you sent.
- Your purchase records, profile, and security data.
- Local data on your device.
- Your authentication account.
Family Shares you received remain with the sender; you simply lose access to them after deletion.
If you cannot access the App for any reason, you may request deletion by emailing us at info@vitoobox.com.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.
7. No Tracking
The App does not use cross-app or cross-site tracking, does not include advertising networks, and does not sell personal information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" at the top of this page.
